Cavendish Square
A 23 storey commercial property located in the heart of the West End of London (adjacent to Regent Street & Oxford Street).
Due to the fact that the scaffold loadings which would have been placed upon the 2nd floor flat roofs been too great we liaised closely with the Clients Engineer to produce an alternative support method.
This solution involved road closures and the hiring of a large crane to lift into place approx 20 tonnes of steel RSJ’s/beams and construct on site a support platform upon which we placed mast climbers. The mast climbers provided access to the various elevations to undertake the specified works.
Contract Value – £3.4million
Scope of Works:
Liaison with City of Westminster to ensure license requirements were adhered to along with road closures, crane lifts and bus diversions being phased/programmed to suit the works.
Doff cleaning to all the portland stone and granite panels to various elevations.
A number of defective granite panels were replaced to prevent the breaking away from the substrate.
Portland stone and granite panel joints were repainted in approved mixes.
A large number of metal crittall windows and granite had defective sealant cut out and replaced.
The metal windows were overhauled eased and adjusted inc supply and fix of new handles, hinges and draught proofing.
Complete redecoration of crittall windows, timber and masonry (as required).
All window glazing was cleaned at contract completion.
