Minerva Building Restoration Ltd were instructed to undertake the external restoration of the Grade II livery house.  

 

The property is based in the heart of London’s busy city area. Public safety was a large consideration whilst erecting / striking scaffolding to the front and rear elevations.  

 

Scope of Works

  1. Full removal and replacement of the rear elevation windows using a heritage approved system.
  2. Replacement of defective brick units and failing brick pointing works were carried out.
  3. All previously coated surfaces were decorated using Client approved paint colours. These surfaces included the existing stone details, cast iron downpipes and timber sash windows.
  4. Prior to the decoration work all timber windows were overhauled and repaired to ensure they were all operable.
  5. Internally the front elevation windows had a secondary glazing system installed to assist with the thermal properties within the building.
