Shaftesbury Avenue
With property prices at a premium in the West End of London it made complete business sense to convert/refurbish the existing first floor office space into high end flats.
Minerva were instructed by the Shaftesbury Estate to carry out these works.
It was a given that a client of this standing would require the highest of professional standards in both quality of workmanship and materials.
The refurbishment work consisted of the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm and electrical systems. In addition, partition walls/kitchens floor coverings/sash windows and ceilings were removed then cleared from site.
Once the office space was taken back to a ‘shell’ the refurbishment works could commence in earnest.
The refurbishment works consisted of the renewal of the fire alarm and lighting systems in their entirety. New fire rated mf ceilings were installed along with thermal insulation to ensure current regulations were achieved.
With the new engineered oak flooring fitted throughout both flats the installation of the replacement kitchen works were undertaken.
Internal decorations were undertaken in the client approved colours.
Externally highways licences were applied for to enable a scaffold to be erected on the pavement to the Shaftesbury Avenue elevation.
We manufactured 14no hardwood/double gazed sash windows with box frames in our workshops.
These sash windows were delivered to site and successfully installed/decorated to the client’s satisfaction.
Scaffold was then removed along with all spent materials.
