Time and Life Building

Located in close proximity to Berkeley Sq and with 5 Henry Moore statues valued at £5 million built into the elevation the level of care and management needed to be of the highest quality.

The Grade II listed building was originally built in 1953 as the European headquarters of the time and life publishing company.

Scope of Works:
  • ​Liaise with City of Westminster to ensure license requirements were met.
  • Provide and install plywood box protection to the 5 Henry Moore statues on the New Bond Street elevation.
  • Provide full scaffolding to Bruton Street, New Bond Street, flank and rear elevations.
  • Undertake Doff cleaning to all portland stone and travertine cladding to all elevations.
  • Cut out and replace all defective stone and travertine pointing using client approved mixes.
  • Undertake asphalt repairs to flat balcony areas.
  • A full redecoration programme was completed in accordance with client requirements.
  • All powder coated window frames and glazing were cleaned at contract completion.
