CLAPHAM MANSIONS, LONDON
The area of Clapham in the late 17th Century started to grow as a London suburb during this period of time many mansion blocks were built to take advantage of stage coach access into London.
Clapham Mansions was one of these such properties.
Scope of Works
- Minerva Building Restoration Ltd were instructed to undertake a full external refurbishment of the front elevation / roof slopes and chimney stacks.
- The main works included the erection of a fully boarded scaffold with the addition of debris netting to the front elevation. Individual scaffold platforms were provided to the ridge level chimney stacks (9 No’).
- A programme of brick replacement, brick pointing, timber sash window repairs, roof repairs and the decoration of all previously coated surfaces followed the scaffold erection.
- At contract completion additional leadwork repairs and liquid coating were instructed to the front elevation balconies. The project completed on time and under budget.
