Minerva Building Restoration were instructed by the Hilton Group to act as Principal Contractor and work closely with the hotels management and safety team to ensure a smoothly run-on budget project.

These works include various phases of roofing/external building restoration works across the estate:

Minerva Building Restoration Limited have been working at the Hilton, Cobham since 2016 undertaking various phases of work including,

• Complete re-roofing works using various methods such as Natural Welsh slating, felt and liquid systems. Minerva were able to offer the hotel an Insurance Backed Guarantee to give the hotel peace of mind for the next 20 years.
• Removal and replacement of large AC ducting and plant which required the use of a 48-tonne crane with a boom length of 44m. The hotel was in full occupation, so the crane works needed to be carefully programmed and monitored to ensure the safety of Hilton staff and members of the public alike.
• Removal of counterweighted roof handrail system. Reinstatement of counterweighted handrail system.
• Scaffolding was erected to provide safe access and egress to many of the work areas.
• Asbestos removal was undertaken following detailed investigations.
• Restoration and decoration works were undertaken to various areas of the hotel.
• The Hilton Group have since instructed Minerva Building Restoration to undertake works at other Hilton Hotels in other areas of the UK such as Cambridge, Cardiff, Croydon and London Olympia.
