Clerkenwell Green is a Grade II listed building that Minerva were instructed to undertake refurbishment works on.

​The works included re-roofing which included traditional slate and leadwork and a glazed roof to the rear, external repair and re-decorations.

We worked closely with the client and council to ensure all works were carried out in the correct and best method always taking into account the grade II listing.

​Scope of Works:

Minerva Building Restoration Limited were instructed to undertake full external refurbishment project including the strip and re-roof of the main roof area.

The scaffold was erected out of hours to comply with Camden Council licencing requirements:

  1. Erect/dismantle designed scaffold and beams to all elevations.
  2. Erect/dismantle designed full temporary roof.
  3. Strip and re-roof all roof slopes including replacement of lead parapet and valley gutters.
  4. Produce costed and detailed timber/masonry repair schedules for client approval.
  5. Undertake timber repairs using the windowcare resin system.
  6. Carry out a full internal and external decorative programme to all sash windows downpipes and masonry in accordance with the Dulux/Akzo noble specification.
  7. Supply and install new kee klamp system to the roof perimeter.

Minerva Building Restoration Limited provided a full site management team throughout the project to ensure contract programme were achieved and constant tenant liaison maintained.
